Absolutely Studio delivered the full painted installation for House of Dots, an ambitious interactive environment designed by Camille Walala for LEGO at Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross, London.
Created to launch the new LEGO DOTS creative play system, the installation took the form of a colourful modular house constructed from eight stacked shipping containers. Inside, visitors explored five immersive rooms where every surface was transformed through Walala’s distinctive graphic language.
Across the installation, bold patterns and colour combinations covered walls, floors, furniture and architectural elements, creating a playful environment that merged Walala’s visual world with the LEGO DOTS tile concept.
Absolutely Studio produced and applied all painted elements across the installation. Our team worked closely with the fabrication and construction teams on site, coordinating production alongside the installation schedule to ensure each structure and component was painted as it was completed.
We also provided on-site support to Walala Studio throughout the build, assisting with the finishing details across the wider installation.
The result was a highly interactive public artwork and brand experience that transformed the courtyard at Coal Drops Yard into a bold and playful creative space.
