Absolutely Studio delivered a painted basketball court and sports court mural at Barnet Playing Fields in North London in June 2025. Commissioned by Barnet Council in partnership with Rise 3×3, the project transformed a neglected tarmac area into London’s first dedicated 3×3 basketball court designed to meet full FIBA specifications.

The artwork responds to the fast, fluid nature of the game. Bold geometric forms and vibrant colour blocks create a striking visual identity while integrating the official court markings required for competitive play.
Absolutely Studio worked with Rise 3×3 and Barnet Council to plan production, logistics and installation. The full sports court mural was laid out and painted over one week using specialist outdoor sports-court paints designed for durability and high colour density.
Working on the rough macadam surface required careful preparation and efficient working methods, particularly as intermittent rain affected the programme. The completed court now provides a vibrant and accessible public space for basketball players and the wider community.
