Absolutely Studio delivered a series of painted basketball court murals across the iconic Clapham Common courts in London. The project included artwork across one full court and two half courts, transforming the well-used public facility into a vibrant destination for local players and community events.

The courts were first painted in autumn 2021 as part of a wider initiative to revitalise the space and bring bold colour and graphic identity to the courts. The artwork quickly became a recognisable feature of Clapham Common and has since hosted daily recreational play as well as organised basketball events.
In 2024 we returned to complete a basketball court renovation and refresh, restoring the painted surfaces after three years of intensive use. Despite heavy daily activity, the courts remained in good condition. The refresh focused on eliminating chewing gum marks, surface blemishes, major scuffs and incorrectly applied netball markings while strengthening the vibrancy of the original painted designs.
The project was developed by Sam Neter at Hoopsfix, with support from Basketball England, the NBA and Footlocker. Special thanks also go to Lambeth Landscapes, who supported both installations and helped ensure the courts remain a high-quality facility for the local community.
